Most people call me Miles. I am a self proclaimed artist/musician out on my own traveling to see what this big, beautiful world has to give in hopes that I can come up with something worthy of offering in return. I am a movie fanatic who often annoyingly uses the terms "movie" and "film" interchangeably not solely for the comedic factor but I think it helps capture my very artistic (pretentious) nature as well. I can confidently say that my love for music highly overpowers by ability to actually play it. Although I tend to consider myself a musician (and I use that term as loosely as humanly possible) by no stretch of the imagination am I in any way, shape, or form, actually good or too knowledgeable of the matter. I've been working to get back into my habit of meditating and have learned to value the little things in life that make us happy. I have a genuine appreciation for making long lasting and memorable human to human connections and encounters and I hope to find many of those along the way :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I can't say that I'm the most experienced traveler but I most certainly have the heart, sole, and pure desire for adventure. I'm looking to see all there is to explore and experience all that life wants to throw at me. I'm hoping to see some great places and meet some even greater people! I'm not all that interested in getting murdered so as long as that isn't your sole intent, I'm sure we'll get along swimmingly!

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm more of a movie buff than a bookworm but I have to admit I enjoy reading plays quite a bit

My favorite movies include Jaws (#1 fav movie which to my own surprise I can quote start to finish), The Princess Bride, most any film directed by Wes Anderson , The Big Lebowski (obviously), cheesy comedies like I Love You, Man and Hot Rod, of course I can appreciate a good amount of cult classics and believe it or not I'm a HUGE sucker for a good rom com

I love listening to music almost as much as I wish I could play it! I'm not too particular about music "type", I'm generally fond of a wide range of genres. trust me that I am limiting this list to a large degree but SOME of my favorite musicians include: Shakey Graves, The Lumineers, The Beatles (I mean of course), The Velvet Underground, State Radio, Bob Dylan, The Band, Grateful Dead, Tallest Man On Earth, and obviously Miles Davis (hence the name Miles!)

Teach, Learn, Share

I am completely open and eager to learn new things and would absolutely love to soak up anything and as much as anyone is willing to teach me. As far as ME teaching, I'm not too sure of what great skills I have to offer yet but you can definitely count on getting countless hours of entertainment and quality conversation about such topics from nothing to everything!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am a very openminded individual trying to offer as much, if not more, than what is given to me. I'm learning how to live life and enjoy every bit of it. At the very least, I can offer some stellar company and (hopefully) quite a few laughs. I'd be more than happy to go out and explore on some adventure or just stay in and watch a good flick and share some stories :)
