About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to make the most of it!

ABOUT ME

I live in Charlottesville, VA in the Appalachian mountains. I am a musician and independent music teacher by trade. I love to be outdoors and explore new places and people. To me the most important things are an open mind, good conversation, and a chance to see the world in a new way.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have hosted several couchsurfers at my home in Virginia, and recently stayed with a couchsurfer in New England. I plan to continue hosting when I return from summer travels.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have had some wonderful people stay at my house! I love this project, its such a great idea. I think the project attracts like-minded people who believe in building community and helping each other out. I hope to create more international connections through couchsurfing and use it as a vehicle for imagining a better future for all of us.

Interests

I love to be outdoors, hiking, swimming, camping, or just finding a good sunset. My favorite and perhaps only sport is soccer, I wish I could play every day. Good conversation, good books, movies (still have some catching up to do as I've never owned a TV), meeting new people. All music, but especially flamenco.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once saw a blazing meteor that felt like it brushed the treetops, as we were performing some kind of pagan ritual on the winter solstice.
Sat in the front row for a Zakir Hussain show where he performed with two other Indian percussionists who were equally amazing.
