About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Traveling around the world. Staying with friends, family and local hosts to experience the average life and culture of the location.

ABOUT ME

A life-long adventurer. Been there-done that. The more I do the more I want to do more. Former Olympic qualified swimmer/high-diver, race car owner and driver, Vietnam Combat Veteran, perpetual businessman, airplane pilot, restauranteur, philanthropist, etc, etc.

PHILOSOPHY

“Your beliefs become your thoughts,
Your thoughts become your words,
Your words become your actions,
Your actions become your habits,
Your habits become your values,
Your values become your destiny.”

― Mahatma Gandhi

Music, Movies, and Books

I seldom sit through a movie. everywhere I go there is music. I read everything I come across; in the past year I read over 100 books.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I can only say that the ONE amazing thing I have done or seen is to have survived thus far in the adventure I have come to know as MY LIFE. If it is true that "if it doesn't kill you it makes you stronger", then I've become invincible.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am the Dean of Couchsurfing University, a school where everyone's a student and everyone's a teacher. Surfing isn't just about a place to sleep. It's about exchange. From esoteric knowledge to practical skills, we all have special knowledge that others will benefit from knowing. I contribute to strengthening the quality of this wonderful community. Teach. Learn. Share. Let's do this.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Bad jokes, spit, STD's, half of my fortune

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Canada, Japan, Mexico

Countries I’ve Lived In

Philippines, United States, Viet Nam
