ABOUT ME

Hi, my name is Emeline, i'm a French travel junkie.
I've been on Couchsurfing for years, surfing at people's places when i was travelling, and i always wanted to return the favour some day.
It seems i have finally settled down enough to become a couchsurfing host for the first time !

PHILOSOPHY
I believe everyone can make the world a better place with small actions. Be the change you want to see in the world !
I am truly convinced that you only enrich yourself from what is different from you.
Freedom and respect are also two very important things to me.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

The philosophy of Couchsurfing really speaks to me. Travelling is a great oportunity to share experiences with other people, and staying at someone's place can be such an amazing human and cultural experience ! Couchsurfing is based on a free exchange between people, on sharing something with someone. I couldn't resist but be part of this community.

兴趣

Travels, travels, travels. I'm addicted to it, and i can never stay at home very long and i have chronic wanderlust. I love talking with people about the places where we've been or where we want to go some day.
I'm very curious of the world and i love learning new things, discovering new cultures and exchanging with people about how we see the world.
I also like photography, also my skills are quite modest. I'm a nature lover at heart and i can't imagine a better way to spend holidays than going hiking. I love stargazing too.
And finally, music. It holds a very special place in my life. I'd love to meet some fellow musicians !

音乐、电影和书籍

I like all sorts of music, but my favourite is rock music (old classics and more recent bands). I like discovering new things though. Celtic music holds a special place in my heart, that's my breton roots speaking for me ! Lately i've been more into folk and reggae music.
I'm very open-minded for movies too. I love Studio Ghibli movies like Spirited Away.
I'm a bookworm and would read anything i come across. Don't ever leave me alone in a library or bookshop, or you might never see me again. My favourite authors are Tolkien, George R.R. Martin, Neil Gaiman, Philipp Pullman ...

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Climbing a 3000 metres summit in the French Alps, and watching the sunrise at the top. The most magical experience in my life.
Visiting a salt mine in Poland, with a huge underground cathedral.
Meeting one of my favourite authors, George R.R. Martin, and getting to exchange a few words with him while he was signing my book. I still can't believe this happened.
Paragliding over the Marlborough Sounds.

COME AND SPEAK ENGLISH WITH ME !! I'm so English-deprived since i came back to France, and i miss it a lot. Would be lovely to have a chat with someone. I also love learning new languages so feel free to teach me some nice (or rude) words from your mother tongue ! I can help you learning French in return.
I'm self-teaching the ukulele so i'll be able to play you a few songs and to teach you !
