Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I'm here to rock.
ABOUT ME
I like to think that I'm a quiet yet friendly person, easy to get along with, and a hard worker. I enjoy watching people, animals, decoupage "art" and thrift store diving.
PHILOSOPHY
still working on it
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Not at all yet, but I sometimes pick up hitch hikers...does that count?
When I get a couch of my own again, cool people are more than welcome to surf upon it.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I rented a room in Chicago through Craigslist once, and it turned out well. My host and I ended up hanging out. We went to the zoo, a bar in Boystown, and an awesome Mexican restaurant. Joey Luna, if you're reading this, drop me a line and we'll talk! Other than that, nothing...I had friends in Prague who met people through this service and used it a lot. But, I usually do farmstays when I travel.
Interests
reading, kayaking (mostly flay water, but I am learning whitewater kayaking on the New River here in WV), backpacking, arts and crafts, gardening, cooking.

Music, Movies, and Books
I am very interested in traditional folk and electronic music, indie films that aren't too pretentious, ethnologies, books like "West With the Night", "Middlesex", "Holy Cow" and "No Touch Monkey!" and anything by Barbara Kingsolver or David Sedaris.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Kayaking through the Summer Solstice on Mono Lake, a salt lake with amazing rock formations (in California).
Teach, Learn, Share
Well...
I have skills in jewelry making, paper and candle making, and cooking. I can wield a mean pick-mattock and paint a tin roof.
