ABOUT ME

Currently, I'm in my 'professional semester' to become an English Education teacher.
After I graduate, I'm hoping to be accepted into Teach for America or AmeriCorps. I'd rather teach outside of Wisconsin for at least a decade.

I talk a lot. I ask a lot of questions too.
Reading is possibly the best thing in the entire world.
My favorite books are: The Red Tent, Harry Potter, and The World According to Garp.

My vices would be coffee and sugar cookies. Lots and lots of sugs..

Right now, I work at the Affirmative Action Office, and the cheap-o movie theatre in town. If you come here, you can go with me for free.

I love chair dancing, talking, looking up jokes when people have had a bad day, travelling, pretending I'm an artist with my camera, and writing my own music on the piano because mistakes don't exist then.

My biggest regret in life was buying 15 eggs because it was a deal, which resulted in me absolutely hating eggs for a few months.

My number one goal is to inspire and change someone's life, which is why I want to be a teacher.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I couchsurfed in London and Edinburgh.
Someone stayed on my couch for a night through my roommate's profile.
Right now, I'm just looking for a place to stay, but if anyone wanted to come to Wisconsin, (the rumors are true, the beer and cheese IS excellent here.) I would be more than happy to put them up.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

slept on two different people's couches.

Sort of hosted someone, because they contacted my roommate. But we all had a good laugh and drank Honeyweiss.

Music, Movies, and Books

Musical tastes--I love Jack Johnson, Fiona Apple, Feist, Bon Iver, Yael Naim, Ray LaMontagne, local bands, Ray Charles, Jimi Hendrix, Beatles,Yo-Yo Ma pretty much anything alternative, and laid back. (Bluegrass, blues, acoustic guitars)

Movies-Clerks, High Fidelity, Love Actually, When Harry Met Sally..., Wayne's World, Braveheart, Little Miss Sunshine, The Fifth Element, others that I can't remember.

Books-- I'm trucking my way through the 100 Best Modern Novels, which my best friend and I have been trying to finish for the past few years or at least before we die. My favorites of all time are The Red Tent, Standing in the Rainbow, the Green Mile, and every Harry Potter.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

This doesn't sound that cool, but my best friend and I were in Florence, and we jumped over the bridge (I can't remember what anything is called) on the River Arno to get away from all of the touristy people, and sat on a pillar. We had a bottle of wine and watched the sunset, which is the most memorable experience of my month around Europe.
