About Me
OUR COUCHSURFING RULES
We never accept requests from people who do not have a complete profile, do not have at least one picture of themselves that shows their face, and who do not list their full name. If you only have a few references then please include links to anything else that helps us to know you (i.e. Facebook, LinkedIn, your blog, a YouTube video that features you, ect). If you are requesting us to host any non-Couchsurfer travel companions of yours then please include their full names and any links for them in your request.
Please say how you will be traveling in your request.
We work first shift and ask that our surfers leave the house while we are at work.
Due to the amount of requests that we get, we may not be able to answer your request right away.
Our tip for new Couchsurfers: gain references by hosting or meeting other Couchsurfers for coffee and know that a host is not comfortable accepting you unless you are willing to open up about who you are in your profile.
ABOUT US
We are in our early-40's and share our small house with our cat. We moved to Savannah in 2010 from Wisconsin to escape the cold winters. We love our new hometown!
PHILOSOPHY
Is relaxology a philosophy? Well it is now.
Chris' philosophy is that we exist to enjoy life and to share that joy with others. Tracy's philosophy is that life is a balancing act between joy and responsibility. We are both experts at taking things easy.
CURRENT MISSION
Our mission is to see the world and fill our lives with happy experiences. We love meeting new people and learning about their culture and ideas.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
We used to be very active couchsurfers: hosting, surfing, meeting for coffee, giving online help, and meeting up with our local group. Our busy schedule forced us to slow down. Now we host only when we have some free time.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
At first, we thought that couchsurfing sounded...interesting. Now that we are seasoned couchsurfers, we would never give this activity up...at least, not permanently!
Interests
Tracy is a vegetarian and buys the most natural food available. Chris is the exact opposite. For that reason, there are usually two meals on the table that we are happy to share with you.
- culture
- coffee
- watching sports
- surfing
- scuba diving
- beach
- watching movies
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
For Chris: Scuba Diving for the first time in Hawaii. Woodstock 94, Summer Olympics in Atlanta.
For Tracy: Rome! From the coffee to the archaeology, I love it!
Teach, Learn, Share
There is nothing more valuable that the sharing of culture, perspective, and life stories. Without these, couchsurfing is downgraded to just a free place to sleep.
What I Can Share with Hosts
We love Savannah and we will be happy to make sure that you see the best of the city. We have lots of tourist information ready for you to use.
