About Me
CURRENT MISSION
“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.” – Mark Twain
ABOUT ME
"A journey is best measured in friends, rather than miles." - Tim Cahill
I am a Cologne based student who lived, studied and enjoyed the Vida Boa in Coimbra for one year in 2012.
Since then I use every possible moment to travel around Portugal and elsewhere. I’ve already seen a lot of this country, but of course, I hope to get to know much more of it.. so many cool cities, interesting cultural spots and of course new people to come up along the way!
So Couchsurfing really felt like the perfect opportunity and a brilliant way to get in touch with people in this country - whether it is as a host or as guests wherever the Portuguese bus routes and hitchhiking ways are able to take me to :)
I am 27, studying Latin America Studies and Politics in Cologne, Germany.
But as I simply love to travel and to get to know new people and exciting places it would be a shame not to hit the road here… just couldn’t stand missing out on the Couchsurfing experience, cause we’re pretty sure that its going to be awesome!
I am easy-going, helpful and very thankful to all the nice people who would give us shelter. Would love to stay with you soon – Janine

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
As I lived in Portugal, one amazing thing I have experienced all together is probably the Portuguese way of life… people are so easy going and incredibly friendly, willing to help whenever we get lost and happy about every bit of portuguese we try to speak.
