Overview
About Me
Hi, I'm Millie. My bf and I have been together 7.5 years and are both 33. We have mostly travelled US and nearby. We are doing our first big trip and saving for it now. Heading to Europe, Asia and South America hopefully and are hoping to utilize workaway, couchsurfing and airbnb. We have never used the first two! We have had great experiences with airbnb. Andrew a sou chef and I am a housekeeper at a college (Haverford College). We love hiking to waterfalls, going to the movies, finding new breweries, roadtripping, writing, tattoos and cooking. And comedy! All forms. We love stand up, andrew actually performs and we come up with skits at home all the time for a future youtube show. We also love comedy tv shows!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I just joined because I would like to learn a few languages and language exchange would be great. Also, we are heading out in a little over a year and thought it be good practice and good karma to have people stay with us, before we go out and try to stay with anyone else!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I drove the Lincoln Highway in it's bicentennial year which is one of the earliest transcontinental highways in the US! I drove from Philly to Portland, lived there 2 years then set out on my next coast to coast to coast trip- Portland to Los Angeles to Tennessee to Virginia. Lived in Virginia twice (2 summers) and now we are back in Philly. In this time we managed to spend a few days in: Pittsburgh, Canton, Cleveland, Chicago, Omaha, Seattle, Astoria, Bend, Salem, Gasquet (pronounced Gaskee!!!), San Francisco, Salinas, Prescott, Albuquerque, Memphis and Nashville. We visited Football Hall of Fame, The scary skybox at Sears tower, the amazing omaha zoo, the music museum in seattle, an awesome old western bar and hotel in prescott, about 15 breweries, goonies beach and house, crater lake national park, redwood national park and joshua tree national park. Had some of the best tacos and bbq in the country and were given free shots of Malort, a chicago tradition (we are told). and this my friends, is just the beginning of our journey!
