Overview
About Me
I am from a family of three girls in a small town in New Zealand. The first few months of 2015 I was on exchange at UBC in Vancouver and the rest of the year I'll be on my own travelling North America and Europe. In 2016 I start at a law firm in Auckland. But until then, I'm enjoying my last year as a student :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love travelling and adventures and want to see as much of the world as I possibly can. Couchsurfing seems like the ideal way to do this, because locals always know best - there is nothing like insider knowledge to make your visit memorable. I love meeting new people and learning from other's experiences. I think experiencing others' way of life only enhances your own. I'm one to say yes to all opportunities that cross my path. Life is there to be lived.
Interests
I love both outdoor adventures and the arts.
Skiing, kayaking, swimming, hiking, tennis...
Art galleries, the ballet, any live music, good coffee, wine and restaurants. I love to cook, particularly South East Asian flavours. I enjoy reading, watching great films and painting when I can. I play the flute and dabble in the guitar and piano.

I really enjoy The XX, john Legend, an up and coming NZ duo called Broods, James Blake, Coldplay, Kings Of Leon, Adele, Bastille, Ben Howard, Bon Ivor, SBTRKT, the list goes on...
Favourite books, I read so many it is difficult to recall: Cutting For Stone, The Lost Wife, The Light Between Two Oceans, Harry Potter :)
Films: Atonement, I Am Sam, Million Dollar Baby, Blindside, The Notebook, the Bourne series, The Pursuit of Happyness, Freedom Writers, Black Swan...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've swum with turtles; stumbled across black bears while hiking; moved to the other side of the world when I was 18; risked life and limb on Cambodian buses; always looking for the next amazing opportunity.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can cook and always happy to contribute. I am a tidy and respectful guest - if you have the time to hang out, I'll be over the moon; if you're busy, it'll be like I'm not there :)
