About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Meet the new and exciting, embrace changes!

ABOUT ME

Heey! My name is Milly and i love meeting new people from all corners of the world. Next year i will be going to Europe, and after that, one day, i hope to travel to Africa.I live in a little town out of Melbourne, but i am more than happy to meet people in the city and show them around. Melbourne is a place of hidden gems, sometimes you have to look hard to find them. I won't claim i know every nook of Melbourne, but we will have fun along the way :) I'm an avid listener, but will also babble on quite a lot.I enjoy Melbourne beer gardens quite a lot. In fact, i simply enjoy a good beer.I have work on weekends generally, but if your in town during the week with nothing to do i can show you around in daytime, or if you have a drink in mind i'm sure i'll find somewhere that your after; whether it be gigs and live music, scenery, outdoor areas, rooftop bars, kooky hippy cafes i'll try my best to find it. :)

PHILOSOPHY

Everyday is new.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm afraid i won't be able to offer a couch at the moment! But hopefully soon!

I am happy to show people around Melbourne,
or if you just want to ask me a question about it i will always answer.
I also really enjoy camping and hope to organize a CS camp trip soon over our Australian summer.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have only met up with people in Melbourne city so far, but it has been fantastic! The idea of couchsurfing is genius.

Music, Movies, and Books

I've never watched much television! i love my music but the range is large and depends on my mood, one day i'll be listening to Dubstep and the next day it will be Indie rock. Next week i may be going through a (brief) opera stage. Who knows!Movies, movies, movies. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless MindThe WaveFight Club Bridget Jones DiaryA Beautiful MindThe English PatientLord of the RingsThe BeachBlood DiamondI don't know, a lot that i can't think of right now.Books i also have to many to mention, the cliches of Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings.Kiterunner, Girl with the Dragon Tattoo trilogy, Tomorrow, when the war began Series, The Pact, DragonKeeper... and more.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Created my own little cubby on a cliff near my beach house in Australia. One of the trees had a natural seat in it and i would sit on the edge of that cliff overlooking the beach for hours reading books. The Taj Mahal was pretty spectacular, made me think i could reach out and tap it and watch it break. From a distance it looks like it's made out of eggshell.South island in New Zealand was amazing, i just had no idea. Being Australian i think we assume that New Zealand is so similar (to Australia) - the people might be but the landscape was so different and incredible. The night train in Thailand, bumping into our next door neighbours in a small rural town in mid Thailand and realising just how small this world is.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can tell you about Melbourne and the small differences in culture across Australia in general, other than that i can offer a laugh and a few beers here and there.Personally, one of my real passions is languages. I wish i knew another other than English. I really am incredibly envious of all the European bi-lingual folk (or tri lingual!) One day i really hope to master another language, at the moment i'm happy to learn bits and pieces of all different ones.Maybe that's my problem though! I can't choose one in particular to learn because they all fascinate me!
