About Me

I am a 24 year old backpacker from Sydney, Australia. Currently traveling for a year around Europe. I left my job as a bartender in Sydney to learn what I can about Europe. It's history, it's people and of course it's food.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

People make the holiday. I have so far exclusively used hostel websites and Airbnb to great effect. Met so many amazing people along the way. I want to expand my options into couchsurfing because the sense of community is quite strong.

Interests

While travelling, I am always interested to learn how a country was founded and how it got to where it is today. More through dialogue and conversation rather than books and museums.
Personally, my interests are in Alcohol (how something is made, ingredients, history, taste, economics and cocktails) and sports (mostly football).
I do fall prey to a good book, movie or video game.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love a good sci-fi or fantasy book. Another world to lose myself in. Favourite authors would be Neil Gaiman or Paulo bacigalupi.
Always happy to hear new music. Favourite would be the Arctic Monkeys. Dance music is a guilty pleasure.
Love most movies. Two of my three favourites are actually considered Rom-Coms but the last is a sci fi action.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

South America is a land of amazing variety. I have rode down the death road, climbed a volcano, walked inside a glacier, scrambled through the Amazon and swam in a crystal clear river with fish so close you can touch. I would recommend it to anybody.

Teach, Learn, Share

To learn off someone who is passionate about a topic is the single best way to learn. To learn a new view, a new taste, a new style brings colour to the world. I love to teach and share any facts about spirits and beer. Understanding of where flavour profiles come from lead to a greater appreciation and enjoyment of a tipple.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I like people to see what I see, taste what I taste, smell what I smell. I am also easy to smile so I can always share that.
