My name is Milton, I'm Brazilian and I'm currently living in Lisbon, Portugal.

Do you know the sentence "A picture is worth a thousand words"? That's what I do for living. I'm a Data Journalist, I have a PdD in Digital Journalism and I work with Technology and Information Visualization. I always liked the idea of telling stories through images, especially if they are interactive and beautifully tailored.

Going out at night and dancing are two of my favorite things. There's something almost anthropological about the night, where people are more natural and spontaneous - and I'm here to live and see these stories.

I'm also interested in audiovisual as a whole. Do you like Rupaul's Drag Race or Survivor? We can watch together. Any trash reality show from TBS or E!? I'm in. An indie black and white classic movie? Let's go for it.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I'm new on this... I've never done couchsurfing before this summer, but I guess it's time to get out of my comfort zone.

I like the idea of meeting new places and people and I guess this could be a perfect place to do them.

a) Music: I like indie music and pop music, and I like even more when they are both combined. Like Carly Rae Jepsen last record or Lorde. My favorite band is The Smashing Pumpkins (I loveeee 90's alternative music), but Madonna and Lady Gaga are my favorite artists.

I'm always trying to find new groups and artists, so feel free to introduce me your favorites as well. At this moment, I'm obsessed with St. Vicent, Wallows and MNEK.

b) Movies: Space sci-fi movies are my thing, like Star Wars, Star Trek and Gravity. I also like terror movies, specially slasher films, like Scream, Halloween and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and "existential" movies, like Garden State and Lost in Translation.

c) Books: I'm currently reading The Interestings by Meg Wolitzer.
