About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Live life on purpose.
-Still trying to figure out how to do this-

I have been on the move for most of my life, and hope to continue doing so into the future :)
Travelling is great, but living in different places is better. Couchsurfing is a terrific halfway/hybrid of the two. You can pretend you are living somewhere, when you're actually only travelling! ;)

I LOVE:
-Learning!
-Laughing til my stomach aches.
-Meeting new people, hearing new perspectives on life and different issues.
-Letting go, running up a hill to see the view, going swimming in the ocean regardless of the weather, climbing trees, hiking, campfires
-Dancing when no one's around, or dancing when everyone's around, - in a club, on a hilltop, in the classroom, in a restaurant, on the ski-slopes, at home, in a field, down the main street..

PHILOSOPHY

I have a faith and my beliefs are important to me, however I prefer to talk about these things with people in person so I guess you'll have to ask me if you're interested, and I am more than interested in hearing others' personal values and beliefs.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Up til now I have mostly surfed. Unfortunately whenever I have lived in a stable place for more than a few months I have either had a tiny tiny dorm room, or I have lived with others in a house who decided they would rather not have couchsurfers for different reasons, or I have lived with others who were already offering our couch to surfers, so it didn't make sense for me to offer the same couch on my profile! :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My experiences with couchsurfing have been terrific so far. The people you meet couchsurfing are invariably interesting and I have met so many like-minded people, some of them becoming great friends who I have kept in touch with. I think couchsurfing is a fantastic idea and I love the community aspect of it.

Interests

-Music - listening, playing, singing, dancing to..

-Dance - contempory, jazz, hip-hop, salsa etc etc. general having fun/going crazy dancing :)

-Reading - informative, interesting, autobiographical, classics, fantasy, basically any fiction or non-fiction books! (as long as they're well written)

-Swimming, sailing, surfing (badly), skiing, wakeboarding! oh and DANCING!

-Family and friends are two of the most important things in my life

Music, Movies, and Books

Books:
I love books where you finish and all you want to do is start it again straight away! 2 examples. Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance, and The Alchemist.
Some favourite authors - C. S. Lewis, J. R. R. Tolkein, Roald Dahl, George Orwell, F. Scott Fitzgerald, Marcus Zusak, Mark Twain, Enid Blyton, Laura Ingalls-Wilder, L. M. Montgomery - innummerable others

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Watching my house - and surrounding 300-person Aboriginal community - flood in a matter of hours in the remote north of Australia - subsequently getting evacuated by helicopter.

Teach, Learn, Share

I would like to learn more about other cultures. I'd like to learn more languages. I know enough to know that I essentially know nothing.
I'm young, naive, inexperienced and ignorant in so many ways. But I know that with an open mind there is so much out there for me to find, enjoy and be AMAZED by!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I LOVE to cook, especially for my hosts! I mostly cook Indian, but will give anything a go with respect to dietary requirements :)
I am also a keen learner so I can promise to ask lots of questions!
