About Me

CURRENT MISSION

get a Job in Santiago - anyone in need of a psychologist?

ABOUT ME

I always want to know what is just behind the next corner of the way. This brought me to Chile and after passing some time here I decided to stay for the next years. Somehow, this seems to be even more advetourous than my whole trip through SA! I like to think that travelling is a state of mind, not an action.
I like to socialize, especially if new people have an interesting story and character. But at the moment, I'm not much into partying, as I'm trying to find a job and establish a life in Santiago.

PHILOSOPHY

philosophy...perhaps: Looking back, the things that you regret the most are those you didn't do - not those that you actually tried (no matter how sucessful). Therefore, don't spend your life thinking about the "ifs" - just go out and do it!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm not really crazy about giving you a tour of the city and do the typical tourist stuff, because that's not the way I travel or host.
But if you like to meet up to exchange experiences, if you have lived abroad as well, or if you plan to stay a bit longer in Chile and need some information, be my guest - let's go out for a drink!
ALL CLIMBERS are welcome, I can pass you heaps of information about the climbing around Santiago and other locations in SA (mainly sport climbing, as I have done little trad). All non-climbers: Please understand that we usually do not spend our time in pleasant, sunny places whith routes easy to access or climb and we do not have extra equipment to pass on to you.

But as I have lived and travelled quite a bit in SA, if you If you are a climber, I can pass you a LOT of information about the climbing around Santiago an as well in other locations of SA.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Somehow all kinds of lost travellers tend to end up in places where I live, CouchSurfing just makes the process more professional.
Moreover, I had some really awesome experiences, couchsurfing in SA, so I'd like to pass these on. Unfortunately, I can't host at the moment, as we are sharing a really small flat.

Interests

I love fresh air, the sea and the mountains, I´m passionate about rock climbing and hiking and enjoy mountainbiking. Whenever I can I'm in and on the water...swimming, diving, SAILING...whatever. One of my passions is listening to selfmade music (musicians are always welcome!). And I'm always hungry. Unfortunately, I'm not much of a cook, but just great at doing the dishes :o)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Working on a Catamaran in heavy weather, with only the skipper and one other crew member, caring for thirty something passengers who were scared to death. After surviving this, I thought I might do just anything!

Teach, Learn, Share

hmm...tried all kinds of things but can't say I'm expert in anything. But as a jack of all trades I'm interested in most things, especially those related to sport and language.
