ABOUT ME

Lately I've been told that I always have a smile on, which is the best way to describe how I typically feel. I do love to meet people. I'm excited to open myself up more and to experience things that I never thought I would. Too cliched? Maybe a little but I'm just too excited.

PHILOSOPHY

My personal philosophy is a work in progress but right now, I'm working on getting to know myself and learning to be happy. I am happy and I do feel like I know myself a bit but there is so much out there for me to take in.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I stayed with CouchSurfers while on a road trip on the west coast (and met some interesting ones in Europe) -- and am now hosting my couch for those visiting Austin.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am still a relatively newbie to CS. I heard about it last summer from a friend who had an amazing time CSing in South America. I finally got to experience it for myself when myself and 3 friends road tripped it around the west coast. I had two great experiences staying with CSers and am now waiting for my first CS to stay with me. Hit me up!

Interests

Film (making and watching), photography (capturing and appreciating), listening to music, playing the guitar (still a beginner), computer/internet (a little bit of a nerd), ALWAYS learning, expanding myself, finding out why I feel what I feel, drinking beer, watching full seasons of the best TV shows (Arrested, 30 Rock, etc)

Music, Movies, and Books

MOVIES: I love horror films a lot, as well as noir and mystery films - Really, any film that makes me feel something and can draw me in.

MUSIC: I'm all over the place in this area. I just love the perfect combo of melodic and lyrical.

BOOKS: I love Gatsby probably the most. Sun Also Rises. I've read all the Harry Potter books. The Hobbit. I NEEEED to expand my knowledge of literature in general so please make recommendations.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Last summer, I spent 6 weeks studying Czech/documentary film in Prague. Then I spent the following 6 weeks meandering around Europe. I'm currently living in Austin and living here in and of itself is an amazing experience. This summer, I'll be studying Spanish in Cordoba, Argentina.
