About Me
Hi there! I’m Mariam, but my friends call me Mimi. I’m a Ghanaian currently living in the vibrant city of Abidjan for work.
My travel journey began in 2018, and Couchsurfing became my go-to resource for budget adventures. Since then, I’ve been fortunate to stay with incredible hosts and connected with people from Mauritania, Côte d'Ivoire, Mali, the UK, the UAE, Sierra Leone, etc.
Unfortunately, my previous profile was deleted (still not sure why!), but here I am, ready to reconnect with the amazing Couchsurfing community.
When I’m not working or traveling, you’ll find me escaping into nature. I love hiking, camping, and swimming—it’s my way of staying grounded to mother earth.
If you’re up for good conversations, shared meals, or exploring together, I’d love to host or connect!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I crossed from Cote d'Ivoire border to Liberia and went north to the Nimba range, traveling at night behind a motorbike on a dusty busy road. The voyage took about 5hours. I arrived covered in dust from head to toe. But the views at the range made up for the inconvenience. 😄
