About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Learning as much as I can about everything so that I become a better tour guide every time I go work.
Also to teach Florine the greatness of couchsurfing

ABOUT ME

French, not very tall, generally happy, merry and well spirited, I am always trying my best to please. Always keen to do something new/crazy/fun/artistic
That's more or less it.
I'm a tour leader all around France which is great but which means I am often away for a week or two regularly and obviously I can't host when I'm on tour.

PHILOSOPHY

If I don't do it, who'll do it for me?

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I sadly rarely had a house but I have hosted a bit in my new apartment and am looking forward to do it more!
I usually try to cook for the people who host me or bring some wine worst case scenario.
I have been lucky to see many friendly faces at the end of a hard day of trekking/cycling while traveling thanks to CS and my memories of these past journeys would not be so cool if not for those couchsurfers I met!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have lent my couch/bed to many people, friends or friends of friends and we've now hosted a few people in our spare bedroom. I've stayed with couchsurfers many time while traveling around europe and France, alone or with friends.
Now proud to be part of the hosting side as well!!!

Interests

I love anything alternative/independent. I love any kind of gig (theater, music, festival, deambulation, etc...), skiing, and then all the usual (music, movies, books). Oh, I also like trying new things, meeting new people, and walking. And I just got into biking and rock-climbing.

L'usuel, cine, litterature, voyage, ski, musique, etc...

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: Deadman, Fightclub, Ed Wood, Requiem for a dream, La haine, Magnolia, Leaving Las Vegas, another 1000.
Music: Tunng, Clap your hands say yeah, Arcade fire, La rue Ketanou, Dead Prez, Jacques Brel, Wu tang, Daft punk, Groundation, another 10000
Books: Yoga for people who can't be bothered to do it, war and peace, Muhammad a biography of the prophet, the royal assassin trilogy, another 1000

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I got charged by a cow while working in a cattle station in the northern territory. Twice. And ran like a dumb movie character straight to the pick up. Twice.

I also cycled over 3000km to Tallin, while meeting friends and Couchsurfers on the road.

Teach, Learn, Share

I could teach English and French languages, skiing, cooking, computer tricks, unknown bands and movies, facts about Tottenham Hotspur football club, and the rules of AFL! Oh, and how to build furniture.
I'd like to learn spanish, how to play the melodica and the drums.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Food and wine. The older I get the more I enjoy cooking a nice diner and picking a nice wine to match it. So, yeah, if possible, sharing a nice diner.
