About Me
* Please do not request to stay on the blocked days. I won't be in Belgium!
Hello. I'm Min, live in Bruxelles, Belgium, and i'm South Korean.
I study painting and i worked as a photographer before,
so i can say myself as a kind of artist, but fortunately, i'm not that much crazy, yet!
Also i work as a private Korean tutor, and sometimes being a translator/interpreter for Korean companies who have short-term works in Europe.
I'd like to visit as many city as possible, wanna meet new people all over the world :-) My mother tongue is Korean and i don't think u guys can understand it, even a little bit, but luckily i speak English and french too :-) My french is still sucks but i believe that it's getting better and better !
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
As a young, energetic artist and travel-lover, it's a big fortune to live in Bruxelles, which located at the middle of Europe.
Until now, i spent few of holidays and weekends at the city where i have some friends who live there, but now, i just wanna try somewhere unsuspected!
Before i had left Seoul, where i was born and raised for 20 years, i was quiet and calm person. Still, i'm not that noisy or totally outgoing, but i can say myself that i'm bit changed. I've started to understand the joy of meeting new people, and exchanging each one's precious life experience.
I'm gonna try to communicate and share as much as things possible, even you are not anglophone or francophone!

Music, Movies, and Books
I still like cartoon films, especially some of them which are felt different if we see them after we're grown up!
- Inside out
- About time
- 3 idiots
- The man from earth
- V for vendetta
- Laurence anyway
and these days, i normally watch english or french films since i live in Belgium, because they are easier to get and to talk about with my friends.
But if u wanna, i can willingly recommend some Korean movies too!
If we meet as a host-guest, we can try it together with subtitles in your language ;)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Came to Europe, start to learn new language and have new friends!
Feel like gotta second life
Teach, Learn, Share
Unfortunately, I'm totally sucks at cooking. So it'll be probably impossible to feel some 'Korean taste' with my plates. But anyway, if you'd like to try, why not?
Also, i love to talk about linguistics, now that i speak 3 languages, I'd love to know how the other bilingual or multilingual (i'm not really both of them) feel about themselves! I interested in any kind of languages and relationship between each other.
Of course, It doesn't have to be over-scholarly. My favorite subject about multilingual is the theory of sapir-whorf, the structure of a language determines or greatly influences the modes of thought and behavior characteristic of the culture in which it is spoken.
