We are two individuals in a constant change. Maybe Mina is the intuition, maybe Juri the rationality. We could say she is the introvert and he the outgoing person. We could say that we are thoughtful people, tell you that we spend a lot of time reflecting on ourselves and other people. At the same time, we could introduce ourselves as curious and extroverted. Juri and Mina are non-identical, just as each day, host and conversation is different from the previous one.
We cannot answer the question of who we are. Everyone will get to know another side of us and from that project other personalities onto us. And this is the most important thing: People who remain changeable - we don't want a society in which the projections of different roles revolve around each other. We want vulnerable and honest encounters.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

At the moment we are on our way to Morocco. The plan is to get to the sea via Switzerland, France and Spain, maybe hook a ship and leave Europe for Morocco. Always to the south-west.
But we first got in contact with Couchsurfing on our last trip, to the east: We started in Poland, from there to the Czech Republic, via Slovakia, Hungary and Romania to Bulgaria. We crossed Turkey in South-East, reached Georgia and went back along the Black Sea coast. We do not only want to admire the landscape and architecture - but to get in contact with people, to see the cities, small towns and villages we travel through the eyes of our hosts. We want to experience the beautiful and the difficult sides, culture and politics, routine and change of a city.

Interests

We are collectors. In two different ways we archive and sort everything we come across. Juri records sounds and noises to give them a new meaning later in songs. Mina captures memories in pictures as well as in words. As photos and drawings, texts and poems. But above all, we both collect people and their stories.

Music, Movies, and Books

We are culture lovers. Less the castle-museum and church version, but we are all the more interested in crazy concerts, alternative clubs and political movements.
We listen to everything from electronic noise to „Habibi Funk“ and Greek folk music that is somehow interesting. We want disharmonies, weird sounds and polyrythmics.
Mina's favorite movies are those without a clear plot - Juri likes Quentin Tarantino, Martin Scorsese and Ennio Morricone.
Paul Celan and Ingeborg Bachmann are idols for Mina. We both loveMax Frisch and Ces Noteboom . :)
