Hi, my name is Mina, 24 years old and I am a freelance PADI Dive Instructor. I studied oceanography at the University of Southampton, UK. I love adventures and meeting new friends. My passion for travelling has taken me to over 20 countries. I have lived and worked in Brunei, Malaysia, Thailand and the Philippines. Since 2014 I have been actively doing different marine conservation activities, particularly in the coral reef restoration.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Overcame my water phobia as I was not able to swim few years back. I learned that I was scared only because I can not see what is in the water. The moment I put on my swim goggle and diving mask, the underwater world is beyond anything. Slowly I made my way to be a PADI Instructor, a very challenging path but I did it!!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to snorkel, the basics of free diving and scuba diving, bits of my language (Malay), and cook my local foodies. I love scuba diving and oceanography - so if you want to ask me anything ocean-related - please do so!
