CURRENT MISSION
To spread peace, love and happiness all around the world!
ABOUT ME
Short Story: I was born and raised in Ponoka, a small town in Western Canada. I graduated high school and immediately took off to Australia for a year of adventure. Upon returning, I attended college in the city and assumed life was smooth sailing from then on. I eventually discovered how little I knew of myself, how distant my childhood dreams had strayed, and how generally unhappy I had become. So I left, and it was a wonderful decision, not to say I wonâÃâ¬Ãâ¢t be back to school eventually. I am obsessed with the pursuit of knowledge, but for the moment I prefer to seek it individually and without restriction.
Since then, IâÃâ¬Ãâ¢ve been on a mission to live life to the fullest...to experience each day as if it were a miracle! If IâÃâ¬Ãâ¢ve learned one lesson over the past few years, itâÃâ¬Ãâ¢s that the Earth is an amazing mystery, full of phenomenal individuals and unlimited opportunities. We are only able to explore this magical place for a relatively short amount of time, and as Charles Darwin once wrote, âÃâ¬ÃÅA man who dares to waste one hour of life has not discovered the value of life.âÃâ¬Ã Well said...
PHILOSOPHY
Never in my life have I felt more confident in answering this question as in the past year. I have realized, without a sliver of doubt, that life is meant to be lived for the sole purpose of lasting happiness. For myself, and many others around the world, this is achieved by following your heart, to whatever means necessary. This magical place we call Earth is more than abundant with opportunity, and all it takes is a little courage to get you started. Many individuals live their entire lives running away from their childhood dreams, concerned only with the expectations placed upon them by others. In the end, every decision we make defines us as a person. As the Buddhist saying goes, âYou are what your deep, driving desire is. As is your desire, so is your will. As is your will, so is your deed. As is your deed, so is your destiny.â
Seeking happiness is not always easy. On the contrary, it is usually difficult, turbulent, emotional and full of uncertainty. However, nothing in life worth having comes easy. The more effort we put into something, however small or inconceivably large it may seem, the greater the sense of pride and accomplishment it inevitably leads to.
Personally, lasting happiness has very little to do with money or material possession. Rather, it comes in the form of inspirational connections with the natural world and the human world, both being intrinsically connected themselves. To stare longingly at a sunset while embracing a lovers hand. To laugh and cry with someone who speaks another language. To stare into the eyes of a wild animal, embracing your mutual admiration for one another. To me, this is happiness. I hope you find yours.... it would make me happy :)

Music, Movies, and Books
Whether it's movies, music or books, I look for certain qualities in these art forms. Many words come to mind: inspirational, powerful, creative, unique, thought-provoking, independent and global. I tend not read/watch/listen to anything too mainstream, but I'm willing to give anything a shot. One thing is for sure, these art forms (especially music and books) are a very important part of my life, and I appreciate each on a daily basis!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I’ve been fortunate enough to have lived through many amazing experiences in my lifetime, but none more profound than an all-to-brief trip to Central Eastern Africa. Accompanied by a group of close friends, I spent weeks traveling through Uganda, helping out with a myriad of humanitarian projects. This included building community infrastructure, assisting in AIDS awareness campaigns, volunteering time in orphanages, and generally learning about the Ugandan historical culture. One thing is for certain; I will never look at the world in the same naive light as I once did. Africa deeply changed me as a person, offering me a glimpse of humanity at its most horrific, and also its most inspiring. Never in my life have I felt so at home and so alien in the same moment. I plan to return to this magical continent someday soon, and when I do, perhaps I shall officially call it home, if only for a period.
Teach, Learn, Share
If you're interested, I can teach you the basics of pretty much any sport. Other than that, I learn something new about the world each and every day, and nothing helps more that a great conversation! So let's talk about anything and everything! I promise we'll both learn something new :)
