ABOUT ME

My main aim in life is to travel as much as possible, meet new people and experience new things. So with this in mind, and super bored with reality, I chucked in my job and now am travelling. So far, I been to parts of the Middle East, Africa, back to New Zealand and now in South America (I have visited Peru, Brazil and Argentina so far with plans to go to Bolivia and Comombia as well), hopefully for a very long time because I love it here!

Mi objetivo en la vida en esto momento es a viajar tanto como sea posible, conocer gente nueva y tener nuevas experiencias. Así que con esto en mente, y porque estaba super aburrido con la realidad, dejé mi trabajo en Londres y ahora estoy viajando por todo el mundo. Hasta ahora, yo estaba en las partes de la América del Medio Oriente, África, de vuelta a Nueva Zelanda y ahora en suramerica (que he visitado Perú, Brasil y Argentina hasta ahora con planes de ir a Bolivia y Comombia también), y quiero quedar por mucho tiempo porque me encanta estar aquí!

PHILOSOPHY

I live my life on the basis that the universe gives you back what you put out to it, which means being positive, optimistic and making the most of every opportunity.

Yo vivo mi vida en la base de que el universo te devuelve lo que te pones a lo, lo que significa ser optimista positiva, y aprovechar al máximo todas las oportunidades.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am new to the couchsurfing site but not the concept - I have a (possibly annoying?!) habit of meeting people all around the world and inviting them to stay with me in London or sending them to my poor long suffering friends in NZ, so have had many people from around the world staying on the couch and have been quick to return the favour and visit them - which has seen me go to Turkey, Sweden, Spain, Holland, France, Italy, Australia, Peru, Zambia and South Africa and staying with locals which I love. I dont really mind about whether I see all the tourist sites, for me its all about experiencing a place through the eyes of the people that live there.

Estoy nueva en el sitio de couchsurfing, pero no estoy nueva al concepto - tengo la costumbre (posiblemente un molesto?!) de encontrar gente de todo el mundo y les invita a quedarse conmigo en Londres o el envío a mis amigos pobres (que sufren mucho por eso) en Nueva Zelanda, así que tuve muchas personas de todo el mundo dormir en mi couch y no han tardado en devolver el favor a visitarlos - que me ha visto ir a Turquía, Suecia, España, Holanda, Francia, Italia, Australia, Perú, Zambia y Sur África y quedarse con gente local que me encanta. No me importa si veo a todos los sitios turísticos, para mí el objectivo es a tener una experiencia de un lugar a través de los ojos de las personas que viven allí.

Interests

Obviously travelling, I love to snowboard, go fishing, I can play golf (badly but its a lot of fun) I recently learnt to wakeboard, I read a lot, go to as many live concerts as I can and go to the theatre and just hang out really. London being a top place for that - as is Buenos Aires I have just discovered!

Obviamente viajar, también me encanta hacer snowboard, ir a pescar, puedo jugar al golf (estoy mala, pero es un montón de diversión). Hace poco me enteré de wakeboard, he leído mucho, ir a conciertos en vivo tanto como pueda y vaya al teatro y simplemente pasar el rato en realidad. Londres es un lugar alto para que - como es Buenos Aires!

Music, Movies, and Books

I do not even know where to start.... I love many types of music, mainly rock, alternative bands, jazz, classical and on my travels am getting to know the music of south america. I read all the time and have just finished a great book called Cloud Atlas which I would recommend. My favourite book is called The Bone People by Keri Hulme (a New Zealand writer) and I read both modern and classical books... no chick lit for me though, it needs to have substance!

Yo no sé ni por donde empezar .... Me gusta muchos tipos de música, el rock, principalmente, grupos alternativos, jazz, música clásica y en mis viajes estoy haciendo conocer la música de suramérica. Leí todo el tiempo y acaba de terminar un gran libro llamado Atlas de las Nubes, que yo recomendaría. Mi libro favorito se llama The Bone People de Keri Hulme (un escritor de Nueva Zelanda) y he leído los dos libros clásicos y modernos ... No "chick lit" para mí, sin embargo, es necesario tener sustancia!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Craziest thing I have ever done (for a girl pretty nervous about heights) was tandem sky dive over the Namibian desert. I never want to be that scared again!! But I got a T-shirt... and that has to count for something?! Although I don´t know where it is anymore....

Lo más loco que he hecho (para una chica muy nerviosa por las alturas) fue buceo tándem cielo sobre el desierto de Namibia. No quiero volver a ser el miedo otra vez! Pero tengo una camiseta ... y es la coas mas importante?! Aunque no sé donde es más ....
