Music, Movies, and Books
Anything that makes one think and challenges assumptions, I love.!
The Watchmen (on deconstructing superheros)
Blindness (on humanity)
Spirited Away (on greed)
Juno (vulnerability and growing up)
The Diving Bell and the Butterfly (on perspectives)
Mary and Max (on friendship and asperger's)
Waitress (on abuse and strength)
Wicked (on love and strength)
Music inspires me, and though I can't sing well, I'm just bought a piano to learn how to play. I also learnt a little bit of drums for a short while from a retired taxi driver who used to be in a band in his hey-day. (:
I read more non-fiction than literature, but am definitely in the case of having too many books I want to read. I especially enjoy media on psychology, cognitive biases, coaching and facilitation.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Breathed thin air at 5000m in the breathtaking Himalayas.
Slept amongst leeches while camping in Borneo! Gotten over my fear of them now (:
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach basic photography, facilitation skills and experiential learning concepts, and GAMES (board games, tabletop storytelling games, etc). I can share a thing or two that I've picked up about miniature figurine painting too!
I enjoy conversing about anything under the sun. Am always ready to learn from people and their point of view!
I listen to a lot of MOOC and TED media on all sorts of things. Usually I spend a few days sharing about what I just learnt, before I move on to the next thing that I'm curious about!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share my listening ear, a good conversation (I'm up to talk about anything!) and most definitely a game or two! (: I can even run an rpg or experiential learning activity with you.
