ABOUT ME
I like to work, talk, play, travel, rest, and listen.
I believe that our world is wounded and we all are part of the healing process.
I am often quiet, I usually show my care for other people by paying attention and listening. I am respectful to all people, but only open-hearted to people I really trust. I prefer to be outdoors.
PHILOSOPHY
You can't be another person's honesty, child, but you can be your own.
So what should I say?
When?
When I love someone?
You should say it.
-Lighthousekeeping by Jeanette Winterson
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I like hearing people's stories and seeing how and where they live. I find that staying with someone can really break up the monotony of isolation that can happen when I'm travelling alone. I think that everyone benefits, because I get discover new, fun places and things to do that people show me and in turn, I can offer my excitement and fresh perspective.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Mostly I've stayed with people in the northwest U.S., travelling between Alaska and the rest of the U.S. I also like to meet up with people and go on adventures! I've made some instant great friends this way.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
For the past few summers I've been a glacier guide here in Skagway for a helicopter company. That means I used to ride a helicopter every day to work! There were so many days that took my breath away and made me feel completely transported from myself.
I feel like I have really amazing experiences all the time, though, just paying attention to world around me.
Teach, Learn, Share
I have a few raw, vegan, and vegetarian snacks and meals that I love to make.
After a lifetime of making mistakes, I'm pretty good at backpacking and camping. I'm a lousy rock climber, but I could show you the ropes, so to speak.
I have an M.A. in English Lit., so I have a lot to say about writing and literature, especially poetry, as well as philosophy and American culture.
I also have a B.A. in mathematics, I've forgotten most of it now, but I still like to talk about it and sometimes I can help people out with a problem or two!
I'm pretty good skier, these days I don't find myself around snow very much (which is weird because I live in Alaska), but if anyone ever wanted to go skiing, I would love that!!
I really like doing art with people, just pure sharing, fun, and creativity.
