Overview
About Me
I was born and raised in Colombia, South America. I love my country and recommend it to anyone as a destination. I love to read, to eat and cook plant food, ride my bike and most of all, to travel. On 2011, though, I moved to Germany to learn the language and study medicine, because med school in Colombia is so ridiculously expensive. Germany is also a wonderful place, full of nice people and landmarks. Though the winter gets me sometimes, there is something that Germany taught me that I'll be forever thankful for it, hitchhiking. Such a wonderful way of movement, of discovery, of travel. Starting on 2013, I can say I've been to almost every corner of Europe with my thumb and my backpack, and I've learned to know the most different and wonderful people from all over Europe. Maybe I'll even try it when I go back home.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
While hitchhiking a lot of people have offered me a place to sleep, without me even asking for it. It makes the experience even more intense, because they are giving you so much more than you could ever give them, without expecting anything in return. They also have shown me around and most important, gave me the opportunity to know them and stay friends. Although I prefer hitchhiking to any other way of traveling, there are some areas where, well, you can't hitchhike. Still, I would like to have the same sort of experience, as far as possible. So, there it is! I thought Couchsurfing would be the nearest I can get to it.
Interests
People, ideas, food recipes and experiences. Cultures, traditions, nutrition and nature. I love to hike and explore. Camping is also one of my favourite things.
