About Me
Hi There !
I'm usually living in Paris but I'm currently doing my third year abroad in Singapore at the NUS. I'm in a double major program that gathers History and Chemistry. I know it's weird but hey, at least we'll have something to talk about to start with !
As much as I enjoy this island, I also see it as an opportunity to travel around and discover as many facets as I can of the Asian culture ! I won't lie, food is a huge part of it, but I'm also very interested in how the different societies work (relationship kid-parents, male-female, youngsters-elders etc.)
I'm travelling with one of my best friend Lea who also studies History and Chemistry in Singapore, but at the NTU.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
As an exchange Student in Singapore, I'm always very excited when I befriend with a local (not that easy when you stay in a very international community). First of all because it's always nice to make a new friend, secondly because we always have something to learn and can confront our cultures, and finally because they always have these good tips about where to eat, where to shop, and where to have that one perfect view that everyone is looking for ! Talking with other international students I also realised that their experience of Paris was completely different from mine, and it somehow sounded tasteless, or let's say very "standard".
So as I was making my plans to travel for my holidays, I realised I really wanted to get in touch with locals wherever I would go to enhance my experience and to make new friends

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Paris hosted the COP21 in 2015, and the COY11 took place a few weeks earlier. Because I was overwhelmed with my exams I knew I wouldn't be able to go there, but I reaaaally wanted to show support. So instead me and my roomates agreed to take part in the hosting network, and we ended up hosting 5 international students at our place. Results ? A new skill in optimizing small spaces, new friends, and the feeling of being part of something big and positive !
