ABOUT ME

I am a 23 year old Californian who's always interested in exploring and learning more. I grew up in SoCal most of my life, but first stepped out of the state to attend Haverford College in Pennsylvania, which was really the start of my "travels". Being on the East Coast, I've had the opportunity to travel to many other US states (MD, CT, NY, NJ, etc), but hope to expand my travels to different parts of the world as I grow.

In addition to saving some money on lodging expenses, I want the opportunity to get some local experience and entertainment with the people who live in the area. I haven't created opportunities for myself to have travel much., but now that I'm at the point in my life where I have the opportunity to travel, I want to see more of the world. As I know it's a vast place, I hope to meet more people where I go, and also get their guidance on what is best to do in the local area.

Outside of working in sales, I generally enjoy playing video games. If I'm not playing League of Legends, I'm probably catching up on my backlog of single player games (currently playing through Fire Emblem and Valkyria Chronicles as of this edit, will start the Uncharted Series).

In terms of smaller hobbies, I love to cook all sorts of food (eggs and toast on avocado is the way to go). I also enjoy working out and going on the occasional hike. Although my fitness level isn't so high, I have period where I try to make myself more fit.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

I enjoy a lot of films that have a lot of drama or serious themes. Some that come to mind that I particularly like are Citizen Kane, Seven Samurai, Logan, and the Shawshank Redemption. Outside of movies, I also really enjoy television (The Wire, Death Note, Rick and Morty being some examples).

I don't read as much as I have, but I know they are always something I can go back to. I like a lot of the classics such as 1984, Harry Potter series, and Ender's Game, to list some examples.

Music, interestingly enough I can say I like most genres, but growing up I never listened to much music, so I don't have a favorite artist or anything like that. Since I've done a lot of gaming, I appreciate good video game scores.

Back in college I flew a Cessna plane! Through a cultural exchange program in college, I had the opportunity to stay with a host who was taking classes to get his pilots license. For an activity, he treated us to the opportunity to take the handle with an instructor and circle SF Bay. It was one of the scariest things I have ever done, but was so incredible.

Enseignez, apprenez, partagez

Though I don't consider myself to be a great teacher or have the makings, I do like to pass on knowledge. On Saturdays I teach K-12 students through a private tutoring program.
