ABOUT ME

Dominique and I have been dating and living together for the last 10 years. We love exploring new places and make new experiences. Never really travelled outside estern Canada, but eager to do so. We are not extremely outgoing people but we enjoy to party once in a while.

I consider myself easy-going, sociable, curious, with a good sense of humor. I like practicing individual and team sports as well as getting with friends for a social poker party or having a beer around a pool table.

As for Dominique, although she might be a bit more quiet, likes to share thoughts about pretty much anything. She's an honnest and loyal friend.

I'm currently completing my M.Sc. in microbiology and aiming to pursue to PhD. Dominique has just completed her studies and now works as a technician in civil engineering.

Always do the best you can while you can. Every obstacles in life is another opportunity to learn something and to get a stronger individual.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I intend to try it out as a traveller first. I think it will be a great experience to get to know local people, exchange thoughts, knowledge and culture. Eventually, I would definitely consider offering my couch.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

As specified in the profile, we are brand new CS members. We don't have much past CS experience but we strongly hope this will change soon.

Interests

Dominique and I share mostly the same interests. I'm mainly interested in sports (I practice soccer, ultimate frisbee, wall climbing, cycling), biological sciences of course! others sciences are also fascinating, travels, good beer, good food, some video games. Dominique is also fascinated by architecture. Outdoor activities are always welcome.

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to pretty much anything from Pop music to death metal. I have a preference for Metal/alternative (Metallica, PapaRoach, etc.), old school PunkSka (Pennywise), rock (Red Hot Chili Peppers, etc)

As for movies, my favorites are Shawshank Redemption and Good Will Hunting. I've been enjoyed reading Bernard Weber, Tolkien, Stephen King and others.

Teach, Learn, Share

I would especially like to learn how to cook meals from around the world. Anything from wall climbing tips to computer skills would be welcomed. As I said, I'm pretty much interested in anything as long as the teacher is right and patient!
In exchange, I can share a bit of my "culture Québécoise". My main skills are in biology... but hey, maybe I can help you with your home wine/beer making!
