I have grown up in South Korea. I studied one year in Tokyo, Japan and am currently studying MBA in London. I will be finishing the programme in July 2017, so will go back to South Korea soon. I will return to Samsung Electronics, where I have worked last years, the office located in Suwon, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea. Therefore, I will be available to the friends visiting South Korea after this July, mostly around Yongin-si and Suwon-si of South Korea.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to share and exchange thoughts on life with many friends. Living a few years overseas and also working with some foreign colleagues, I have learned that there are many different lives with different backgrounds, experiences, and dreams. I love listening to others' experiences and have conversations with them. I believe that as meeting more people I can broaden and deepen my understanding in the world. It is okay to be not an eye-opening insights. Rather, I prefer to learn small things through small events and experiences.

Interests

I think that half of travel can be fulfilled by enjoying the local foods. So, I love finding places where I can have decent, affordable, but very delicious cusines. I quite often go to Japan for the purpose of private trip. I am into some Japanese animations and manga. I enjoy Japanese movies and TV dramas as well. I love learning Foreign culture and languages. I learned Japanese language one year in Japan, and am quite confident in speaking Japanese. I have tried to learn Portuguese (6 months) and Mandarin, but am not very good at both languages. Recently, I am again interested in learning Mandarin. I love watching movies not only Japanese ones. I like vehicles with wheels, such as cars, bicycles, scooters, etc. I love riding bicycle. I usually carry my folding bicycle in the car trunk and drive somewhere near my town in South Korea, and ride bicycle lightly.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like Shakira. Even I am not good at and not much interested in dancing, I really like Shakira's musics. Also, recently I watched Mamamia musical in London. I love ABBA's muscis. I like K-pop groups, such as Twice. I love detective novels, especially about who done it, why done it, how done it. For that reason, I often read Higashino Keigo's new novels.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I traveled continental Europe in Summer 2016. I drove a car from Hungary to Czech Republic, Austria to Norther Italy back to Hungary and Romania. This was around 25 day long trip. It was a good experience for understanding the countries and people. I have recently been also to Tenerife, Majorca, Sicily, Malta, and Singapore. Omg... I love going to countries or regions, which are islands.
