Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
find the real me.
ABOUT ME
I live in Seoul, have spent much of my life living in Seoul and dreaming of living in many different places around the world.
I like traveling and firmly believe that those who like to travel are all good.
I am currently working as a translator at a broadcasting station. I work really early in the morning and leave my office in the morning. During the daytime, I read books and newspapers and sometimes explore my city, searching for good coffee and bread.
PHILOSOPHY
I have decided not to sacrifice anything that I am given now for the future.
No worries about things beyond my control and things that do not happen yet.
No regret about the past.
I try to become better in all aspects than yesterday-me.
I also believe I can learn from every experience, good or bad.
I don't want to live my life living up to others' expectations. I want to be real me, always thinking about when I am truly happy.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
When I traveled France in 2010-2011, I heard about CS for the first time. But before that, a French girl named Stephanie invited me to her place in Rennes and let me stay at her place for 2 nights. When I went to Cambodia this year, I met a girl who had a long history of hosting surfers. As I booked a ticket to New York, I suddenly wanted to start CS out of curiosity.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
A Couchsuring newbie.
In the near future, I want to host surfers.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like documentaries or movies about ordinary people much more than commercial and blockbuster ones. Some big movie theaters show only a few movies that they want to show to the public. That's why I go to small movie theaters and enjoy watching relatively less renowned movies.
I like novels. To practice English, I spend much time reading English-written books. What I am reading is Ha-joon Chang's Economics: The User's Guide and John Irving's A prayer for Owen Meany.
I like classical music and dated Korean pop songs.
When I go abroad, I buy CDs of the country's popular musicians.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Last year I got a job which allowed me to find a balance in life.
I go to work at 3:30 am and leave my office at 8:30 am after having breakfast with my co-workers. Doing it everyday without ever being late is really amazing to me.
Teach, Learn, Share
I want to deepen my understanding of my own world(history, tradition and culture, etc.) so that I can help someone who wants to know about Korea better understand the country. I also want to improve cooking skills so that I can make excellent Korean food even when I do not have adequate ingredients and share the food with the people I meet during trips to foreign countries.
Countries I’ve Visited
Cambodia, China, Croatia, Czech Republic, Finland, France, Germany, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, Monaco, Norway, Slovenia, Turkey, United Kingdom
Countries I’ve Lived In
