ABOUT ME
I am a Minnesotan who grew up in the pop-top of the family Volkswagen, going camping, backpacking and canoe-camping in the summer, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing in the winter. I lived abroad in college, traveling to Ecuador, Colombia, New Zealand, Fiji, Guatemala, and most recently the Maritime provinces of Canada. I traveled solo from Minnesota to South Carolina on my bicycle. I met and married a fellow teacher in the New York City Teaching Fellows program and we now live in Casablanca, Morocco with our baby boy Julian!
PHILOSOPHY
The only thing constant is change.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I am participating in this because I have benefited from the kindness of others throughout my travels and love to share the city I live in and my random esoteric knowledge of cool places that aren't on any map with others.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
In New Zealand a Kiwi friend let me use his "beach shack" for a week, I was taken in by dairy farmers for a weekend, and adopted by the regulars from a pub in Seddonville. I hosted an entire Malay family in my apartment, including grandparents, parents, and three kids, for a week. In Mexico City I couchsurfed with good people, and in Medellin, Cartagena and Bogota Colombia I couchsurfed with the best folks ever.
