About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Work to live.

ABOUT ME

I was fortunate enough to be able to go on vacations almost every year growing up as kid. As a result of that, I've been on bus tours through Europe, a cruise through the Meditteranean, parts of the west and east coast of North America, trips to China, etc. For that reason, it is perhaps what has fuelled my desire to travel and see the world as much as I can... before reality hits!

PHILOSOPHY

Love yourself to love others.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'd like to gain more experience in couchsurfing!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

When I first heard about couch surfing, it was through a random traveller I met in the Philippines. I thought the whole idea was a little sketch at the time. Fortunately, my mind has since opened up and I am SO glad it did. Couch surfing has made me realize that it's a great way to travel and meet new people.

Interests

I love listening to live music (and perhaps with a beer in hand). I like bike riding (leisurely). I have an interest in cars (but by no means an expert on it). Miatas and Subarus are my favourite. I like taking photos (but not a DSLR owner).

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy reading books but am a little particular about the kind of book that I read (but I don't really read a book often enough) e.g. The Kite Runner, Tuesdays with Morrie..Hip-hop, indie, rock are my favourite music genrese.g. Metronomy, Ratatat, Florence and the Machine, Bon Iver, Nneka, Amos the Transparent, Blue Scholars, Misteur Valaire..I enjoy most movies as long as it doesn't involve any gore or horror! e.g. Gran Torino, Million Dollar Baby, Pursuit of Happiness, The Kids are All Right, Bourne Trilogy..

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of the most FUN (not necessarily amazing) things I've done was going auto-crossing (car slalom on an empty lot). Sliding sideways in a car is crazy fun.

Teach, Learn, Share

I don't have anything special to teach, other than some Chinese. I like learning languages and I'd love to learn to play guitar or the drums.

Countries I’ve Visited

China, Japan, Philippines, Taiwan, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In

Canada, South Korea
