About Me

Mint-tea, you can call me like that. It's the English version of my name. I'm standing right on the line between an introvert and extrovert. I would describe myself as an early bird instead of a night-owl.
After my masters I would love to work and live abroad. If you have experience of being an expat, don't hesitate to send me a text. I am curious about this subject and open-minded of hearing new personal experiences.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To get in touch with locals. During my interrail when visited Italy I wanted to try something different instead of booking hostels all the time. I liked the balance between couchsurfing and meet people in hostels.

Interests

What I do like is cooking for other people and share my love for delicious food. Aside of the food I'm a plant mommy and like to read books. Lately I'm more into spiritual books than fiction. What I do when I've time for myself is painting. It gives me the opportunity to live in the present moment and express myself with creativity.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love to dance. African dance is what gives me energy and when I visit a festival in The Netherlands I prefer hardstyle.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

This would be definitely the hitchhike adventures.
In the summer of 2018 I hitchhiked from Amsterdam to Barcelona with the BarcelonaExpress. During this trip I met new friends and with these friends we decided to hitchhike to Berlin with 4 girls in total. Such a funny and hilarious adventure. After that I wanted to hitchhike again so there we go. In 2019 with the same friend I met during the BarcelonaExpress we hitchhiked from Budapest to Prague.

I think the most wonderful thing about hitchhiking is that people are willing to give you a drive. Most of them traveled when they were younger and used to hitchhike as well. It's nice to share different stories.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can show you how to take care of plants and explain all the in and outs of hitchhiking if there's a desire
