About Me

I'm currently studying a Bachelor in Arts to either go into Psychology or teaching, but preferably both. I love Environmental Education as well though. I work when I can at environmental education centres and wildlife rehabilitation centres.

I'm not going to get verified because it costs over R1000, which is too much considering how little I've used Couch Surfing.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I enjoy travelling and connecting with others

Interests

Books, films, nature documentaries, politics, anything and everything related to the natural world, especially flowering plants, yoga, running, cooking, cats .
I enjoy playing board games like chess, Scrabble and 30 Seconds - especially chess. Meet up over a cappuccino and a game of chess?

Music, Movies, and Books

Billy Talent is my favourite band, for lyrics above all else. Otherwise, I generally enjoy RandB, hip-hop and jazz.
My favourite film has to be A Separation. Other films I enjoyed include The Lobster, Sister Act 2, Mute, Kill Bill, Jackie Brown, Hanna, Power of the Dog, The Harder They Fall, White Fang, and Return to the Wild. My favourite director is definitely Tarantino.
I just took a deep-dive into Jane Eyre and Grimms' Household Tales, and how the two relate. My favourite novel is Story of an African Farm, and I enjoy most authored by Nadine Gordimer and Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hard to say - what is considered "amazing"? Living in the Netherlands was life-changing and really challenging, but overall, I didn't really enjoy it nor would I consider it amazing. I did do an internship at an eco-camp in Spain that I enjoyed. It was where I had an epiphany that the Netherlands may not be for me and that this wasn't terrible thing.
