Music, Movies, and Books

right now im reading "the ascent of humanity" by charles eisenstein...the title almost put me off and it is a bit heady, but so far it's an incredible, thought-provoking read...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of my most breath-taking (in more ways than one) experiences was the hike from High Camp to the Thorung Pass on the Annapurna Circuit. The coldest and most challenging day of trekking started well before sunrise and I can still vividly remember how brightly the stars shone through the bitterly cold morning and the rhythmic sound of my own and my fellow trekkers' heavy boots and panting breaths as we made our way up the steep ascent of ice, rock, and snow.

The most recent time that I was awestruck was today while i was washing dishes. I dropped a glass on the tiled floor. It didn't break. I was in awe.
