hey y'all. currently in buffalo, ny till the end of august. shortly thereafter headed to back to chicago and then west toward seattle area for some camping. then down the coast toward portland, la, etc; maybe new orleans later, arizona at some point.

looking for people to meet and stay with in portland, seattle, denver, and los angeles. can cook a good meal in return, share some glitch art techniques, or just chat.

heavy internet user; much of my life is digital, and so i have absorbed, been exposed to, digested, and otherwise consumed a lot of different media--a lot of *weird* media.

for music lately i like doom and sludge metal, dark and ritual ambient, vaporwave (macintosh plus *swoon swoon*), kendrick lamar's to pimp a butterfly, beach house's depression cherry, disasterpeace (who does 8bit soundtracks for videogames as well as the soundtrack for the movie it follows; all brilliant); this sunn o)))/john coltrane mashup album i found recently, feminist and queer punk; witch house and witch hop.

i really enjoy marvel movies which are lovely dumb fun. i used to spend so many nights when i was about 18-20 watching all kinds of films but i've really lost interest since. that being said, some all-time favorites have come from charlie kaufmann, stanley kubrick, michael haneke, tarentino, weird cult one-offs like a boy and his dog.

for books lately i have been very much interested in the works of isabel allende and ursula k leguin, philip k dick, and the like. i love magical realism and scifi. i love comic books and have been reading love and rockets for years. have a long list of living poets that i read regularly as they publish.

i ran a marathon two years ago. i hardly run at all any more (by my own standards at least) but i did it!

i want to learn languages better. i was raised apparently fluent in spanish as a child but remember essentially little of it. i took german in college and remember that okay but really want to expand and solidify those skills. i'm planning on traveling mostly through german-speaking and spanish-speaking countries, and i would *love* to practice.

i can teach things about bikes, running tips, hell i can teach some photoshop design stuff (i'm informally a collage/digital manipulation artist). we can talk animal intelligence and consciousness, i can rant for you about political theory and market anarchy. i can read you poetry.

show me who you are and i'll show you who i am and naturally we'll learn things from each other.

i know things about poetry about philosophy and linguistics. i like political philosophy and things relating to the brain and consciousness. i can talk music but not in a technical way (though i love learning that stuff definitely teach me things about music theory if you are a musician!).
