About Me
Hello!
I am a recent graduate from a small school in Michigan, where I studied Community Leadership, English, Writing, French, and Irish Studies. (Yes, it's a lot, but I love learning!).
I am currently spending a year abroad in France, where I'll hopefully come one step closer to figuring out what I want to do with the rest of my life.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am looking forward to meeting new people while I'm abroad, learning about their stories, and seeing their cities through their eyes.
Music, Movies, and Books
I listen to Pop and Hip Hop, primarily, but I grew up on classic rock. I love folk, classical, R&B, indie, and really anything that has a good rhythm to move to.
I could talk about my love of movies forever, because I love them so much. Period dramas are my favorites, but I will watch anything by Wes Anderson, Judd Apatow, David Lynch, and Baz Lurhmann. My top five movies of all time are: Pride & Prejudice (2005), Knocked Up, Clueless, Rushmore, and Good Will Hunting.
I could also talk about books forever. I will read anything and everything if you give me the chance. Some of my all-time favorites: Never Let Me Go by Kazuo Ishiguro, anything that Jane Austen has written, Wuthering Heights by Emily Brontë, The Chronicles of Narnia by C.S. Lewis, Hedda Gabler by Henrik Ibsen, Beowulf.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Climbed two mountains on the west Coast of Ireland on Easter Sunday in 2014, one for the sunrise, one for the sunset.
Teach, Learn, Share
I love to have conversations with people about the things they love. I will happily converse over a nice home-cooked meal and a bottle of wine (or some good beer or whiskey)!
