ABOUT ME

My name is Miranda and I love to dance to good music with wonderful people. Travelling is exciting. I don't need money to make me happy when I'm surrounded by people and interesting things. I wear a bobble hat nearly every day. My family are amazing and I love them. I want to meet you, or if not, I wish you safe and happy travels!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I just stumbled across this, and thought it would be a great way to make travelling much more exciting and interesting. People are welcome in my home, and I look forward to meeting new people and their sofas.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Surfed many a couch. Hosted many a surfer.

Interests

Dance, music, the ancient greeks, reading things, writing things, capoeira, surfing, travelling, cycling, haiku, snowboarding, beaches, forests, flowers, the ocean, people with stories to tell, campfires, cooking weird and wonderful concoctions, writing letters to people, attempting to make my own clothes and often failing miserably but wearing them anyway, the 1960s (WHY was I not alive???), learning about random subjects, long long long conversations that get really deep, watching the stars, bobble hats, chatting, laughing, learning, loving.

Music, Movies, and Books

This will take too long so I will limit it. My favourite film is The Lost Boys, but I also love Amelie, An Education, The Nowhere Boy and Chico and Rita. I love The Beatles, The Beach Boys, T Rex, The Smiths, Bjork, The Postal Service, Mumford and Sons, Massive Attack, Jack Johnson, Blondie, Florence and the Machine, Adele, Animal Collective and Billie Holiday. My favourite book is Once On A House On Fire (I have read it nearly 20times) and Les Miserables...I also read Oedipus the King several times a year. Oh and The Hungry Caterpillar.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I held a wild crocodiles tail in Africa because a random man told me it would be alright.

I can teach you how to dance. And I'm really really good at folding and packing clothes into a backpack or suitcase.
