About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Meet cool people. Travel the world. Find home.
ABOUT ME
I love traveling and seeing new things and meeting new people, unfortunately I don't do as much of it as I should. Sometimes because of money, sometimes just because I have difficulty motivating my lazy ass to leave the apartment, but really there is nothing more exciting than a new place, whether it is the big city or the middle of the forest. Apart from the quest for new, cool locales, at home and abroad, my free time is generally spent cooking, hiking (urban and wilderness), listening to music, reading german literature, and hanging out/partying with friends!
Ideology-wise, I have no religion and don't believe in god, but I try to live by my own doctrine of peace, love, and respect. The only thing I am intolerant of is other people's willful intolerance and hatred.
PHILOSOPHY
Do what you want*,
*so long as it doesn't impede someone else's personal freedom or rights, and doesn't cause serious harm to the environment.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I surf, I host, and occassionally I go to CouchSurfing meetings here in Cologne.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have hosted a few lovely surfers at my current place as well as at my previous residence in Seattle. I also surfed for a while while I searched for a place to live here in Cologne, including at the place where I ended up moving in! I hope to do more surfing in more places in the future!

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: I listen to all sorts of music, much of which I bet you've never heard of. I love discovering new music from different cultures and in different languages
Movies: also a pretty eclectic mix. A few favorites include The Dark Crystal, Lammbock, Tremors, and The Big Lebowski
Books: Brick Lane, Malgudi Days, Goethes Faust, Tschick, Der Schimmelreiter, etc.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Hiking and river-rafting in the Himalayas, (plus the rest of the time I've spent living in India)
Teach, Learn, Share
Wanna learn how to play Carrom or Ökopoly? How about cook or bake? Roll a cigarette? Learn a few words in German, Hindi, or of course English?
I can help with that!
