About Me

I'm a Brazilian journalist who lives in São Paulo. I have a website about culture and lifestyle (www.bestyle.com.br) where I write about my travels, experiences and other stuff. I love traveling and I've lived in several places, such as Manaus , in the Amazon state, Salvador, Bahia, in the northeastern of Brazil , Orlando, Florida, and i went to high school in Chicago, Illinois, back in 2003, when i was an exchange student from Rotary. I love making new friends, learning about new cultures and new places. :) Makes life worth!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I already know many states in America, but my dream is to travel by the music route: Louisiana (New Orleans), Mississippi (Jackson) and Tennessee (Memphis and Nashville). Despite having lived in the US for a while, i don't know yet any of these locations. I hope to visit them soon! Also, i will take this opportunity to let my invitation to anyone wishing to visit Brazil and stay at my place.

Interests

I enjoy music (especially jazz, soul, blues, rockabilly), i love to cook, travel (as you can see haha), arts, good and smart conversations, animals... well, the best things in life!

Music, Movies, and Books

Billie Holiday, Johnny Cash, Howlin Wolf, Rolling Stones, Elvis Presley, Ella Fitzgerald, Buddy Holly, Hank Williams... It's hard to tell just 1 haha. I love musical movies, especially from Julie Andrews and Audrey Hepburn. Book: biographies and nice adventures...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've travel to a music festival, Muddy Roots - Tennessee, all by myself! I didn't know anyone there and i've camped for 5 days! I had the time of my life and i made friends for a lifetime there! :D

Teach, Learn, Share

I did not quite catch what I had to write exactly in this field, but I believe that I'm a kind of person who loves to share, teach and learn from others. I used to teach English lessons when I was younger at a school in Brazil. Today, i know, my language is not the same, as I lost the practice , but I'm very open to relearn, mainly talking and meeting new people in my travels. The best thing about traveling is exacly this: learning about new cultures, new language, new way of living and still take a little bit of your own country to others who perhaps have not had the opportunity to know where you came from.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my language ife they wanna learn, the Portuguese; my life experiences; my knowledge in general; a different point of view about the world; a little about my culture and my country, and in the end.... a great company for a couple days! :)
