ABOUT ME

Some describe me as a weird guy, others describe me as a really weird guy. All lies however.

I love music, games, tv shows and movies. I can get lost in the mythology of a game or tv show. :) I keep my LastFM profile (username: Paard) tidy and neat, and I enjoy going to all sort of concerts and parties, just to explore my musical tastes: to name a few genres: rock, punk, country, drum n bass, techno, dubstep, psytrance. And lots of subgenres in all those.

That variety of interests in 'cultural things' fits to most people in my school. I study Communication and Media Design, which concerns itself with new media as well stuff like posters. It's about thinking up creative solutions for a brand, company, festival or whatever. Not marketing though, those guys suck :r

I live in Nieuwegein in a house with a friend as my only housemate, a boring town south of Utrecht, Netherlands. But I pretend it's the southside of Utrecht. If I have an excuse to be in Utrecht, I sure as hell go. Even if it's something minor like going to a shop, I enjoy riding my bike along the canals and streets of the historical city centre. I always take the long route.

As for a hobby which isn't me sitting on a couch or behind a desk: I discovered photography a few years ago. I've started with analog photography but after plenty of failed developed films or broken cameras I switched to digital. Still use my analog lens though, and I increase my ISO so I get the grain back in my photos :) I love making photos of objects and buildings but kind of suck at it. Among my friends I'm known for my photos of people. I try to re-make screenshots of French nouvelle vague films and sometimes I succeed :) --> www.flickr.com/photos/sets/kerelberel
