Overview
About Me
I am Miren Aizpuru (1998), also from Bermeo and I study Law at the University of the Basque Country. I have travelled pretty much with my family, but it was mostly in Spain, and only few years ago we started going more frecuently abroad. This has made me more and more curious about another countries and people.
Among my interest are music (I play the accordion and the basque flute) and photography (you can check out my photos on Flickr). In addition, I am in charge of the social media management of my dance group Alkartasuna, so I could also help with that.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
It's the best way to meet locals or other travellers, and getting to know them and their countries, isn't it? Plus, I'm a student, so it's a great way to travel without emptying my bank account.

Music, Movies, and Books
I LOVE music, and movies, and books. I used to read a lot, but nowadays I only get to read a lot of articles, news, etc., not actual books. When it comes to music, I listen to all kinds: classical, traditional, , pop, rap, rock... just a taste of everything.
You want to watch a movie? I'm in (I don't like horror movies, though)!. There are so much aspects in movies to enjoy: beggining eith the soundtrack, photography, location... and of course, the stories! I really like movies based on real stories, or documentary-like movies... But any other kind will be also welcome.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've spent two weeks in Switzerland with a friend in a host family, via HelpX. It was an amazing experience. We got to know local culture, this meaning food, traditions, state functioning... We learned a lot of things that in a typical vacation we wouldn't have even heard of. This kind of experience was very inspiring to keep travelling and meeting locals, and I find Couchsurfing a very practical way to do so, as during our stay in Switzerland we stayed two nights in Luzern, and meet amazing people from the USA, Germany, Taiwan... It was so fulfilling!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I am a person who is deeply interested in traditional culture, and also modern lifestyle. So although I don't have much experience travelling by myself or friends (I usually go with my parents), the few experiences I've had in Portugal, Switzerland, etc. have made me realize of a bunch of things. So adding to that what I know about the Basque Country and Spain... we'd have lots of opportunities to discuss any topic. Besides, I'm always ready to learn!
