CURRENT MISSION Get a job and travel the world again!!! ABOUT ME A small town girl from upstate New York and Michigan. I guess I'm not so small town anymore after all the traveling I've been doing. But I like the small town world and try and live there, no matter where I am. I have done a bit of traveling and plan on traveling again some day. I am an artist, I dabble in painting, mixed media, sculpture, sewing and drawing. Basically anything I can get my hands on. My newest thing is baking bread, artisan bread, gluten free bread. you name it I've probably baked it. I'm hoping one day to own a bakery. My occupation at the moment is teacher. I love teaching and discovered my love it while I was teaching ESL in Korea. I would have never thought I would love it as much as I do. I get to use my creative streak in my lessons and play games with my kids! I'm loving life. I do something new every weekend, either exploring or meeting new people. I just started Roller Derby and I love it. PHILOSOPHY Live life to the fullest! Actually get to know a lot of perspectives on life as we know it. I hate being ignorant, and learning about other cultures by experiencing them and listening to people's amazing stories about their lives is one way to avoid it. Of coarse I will never know everything, but I wont be intentional oblivious.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING I would love to host some people. Right now I have an extra bedroom. I plan on traveling again in the future as well. COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE I've met some amazing people over drinks and dinner and have had some great hosts as well. I am feeling so lucky to have met so many new people. I surfed all over Europe and parts of NZ.

Movies: I'm not a movie buff, but I do like watching movies a lot. here are some I like: Everafter, the princess bride, V for vendetta, any Disney movie, A Roaman Holiday, 12 years a slave

Books: laurell k hamilton, elizabeth haydon, tamora peirce, anything in the fantasy genre, biographies and true stories

music: yellowcard, frank sinatra, regina spector, imogen heap, metalica, keshia (I know weird), anything new

driving my motorcycle into the twilight over the mountain, just feeling free and enjoying the ride.

The best part of my life so far has been on Jeju. I have never had a an expat community embrace the people as much as they have there, and so helpful!
