About Me
---updated November 2019---
Hi there!
Born in The Netherlands but raised by German parents and lately entering the Latin culture and language, each time I feel a bit more from nowhere and because of that from everywhere. Sometime I imagine the world without country boarders. Wouldn't it be funny and so so different then what we are used to?
Well, after traveling for about 16 months in North, Central and South America (mostly south) I returned to the city where I spend most of my life: Maastricht. I lived there till my 18th and went studying in Utrecht, after which I worked there until august 2015. Then I packed my bags, moved everything down south and left to the other side of the ocean. Best idea ever!
Because of lack of money and also the curiosity of "how would it be to be back", I decided to return in December '16. After working in different areas, I moved in September 2018 to the south of Germany to start another practical study in Pedagogy.
I am a openminded, social, funny girl and always in for some things to do with friends. I think people are very interesting and with everybody I see, I wonder where he/she comes from, goes and what he/she does in his/her life. That's why I'm going to travelled and why I would not stop doing it. Learning from different cultures and other people is the best education one can have.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
The connection between locals and travelers is magical and is the best way to get to know a city, traditions and to learn different way's of interpreting life. During my travel I couch surfed a lot, official and unofficial. While hitch hiking people picked me up and invited me to there homes where I would stay and help out for a while.
I would like to continue this chain, by now giving help and shelter to people myself or conitnuing couchsurfing wherever I go.

Music, Movies, and Books
All music accept metal, hardstyle, hardcore... I love spanish vibes!
Movies: I mostly watch art house movies and especially frensh once I think are really good. Like Amelie, Intouchable, but also documentaries about our planet, the nature and all her inhabitants suit me well. Now and then an action movie or a chickflic isn't bad :D
Book: When I really like a book I can read it at once!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
In 2013 I climb the Kilimanjaro, together with my dad.
Seeing vulcano Fuego in Guatemala spitting fire while sitting on top of his neighbor at 4 km distance.
Hitchhiking down the Carreterea Austral in Chile!
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you dutch, german or even spanish, a bit of piano or being creative together, to have patient or how to enjoy the endless energie of the forest near by my house.
I hardly eat any meat. I am not vegetarian but somehow it developed like this the past years, and I can only enjoy meat or fish when I now where it comes from, that it got caught in a responsible way and that the people that caught it and the environment around are doing well.
