About Me

Hey there!
I am Miriam, 28 years old and born and bred in Münster, Germany.
I gathered my first travel experiences during my work and travel in New Zealand in 2010-11 where I've worked and lived at a farm when I wasn't traveling in the van. When I came back I soon noticed that one's you've got bitten by the travel bug it's rather hard to just stay home. There are just too many beautiful places out there to see. So I planned a new journey with a friend and we did a backpacker tour through Thailand and Laos. Unfortunately didn't make it to the other South East Asian Countries so I will definitely have to go back another time! I consider myself to be an open-minded, easy-going, friendly traveler looking forward to meeting new people and getting to know new places, preferably from a more individual point of view than just the average tourist perspective. I enjoy absolute silliness as much as serious conversation, depending on the situation obviously. Last I was traveling Ireland, Scotland, Wales and England and can’t wait for the next adventure to begin!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Before I joined the couch surfing community I only ever travelled with friends and after a friend of mine told me about couch surfing and the people she met on her journeys with some of whom she's still in touch and made friends with I decided to give it a go myself! By now I made some great experiences of my own and wouldn’t wanna change a thing about them! Whoever’s still in doubt: just go for it! Might end up to be the best experience you’ll make.
