CURRENTLY: I live in Leiden (not Amsterdam!) with my boyfriend Erik. He works as engineer and I'm doing a PhD. We both like languages, food, coffee and beer. We like to meet new people and travel, but please read our description :)

ABOUT

During my degree in Biology in the beautiful city of Girona, I decided to go for an exchange and meet new people, new cultures, eat different food and discover new music and new places. What was suppose to be an experience of 10 months, ended up being an experience of almost 7 years! I could tell you more about it...

Currently, I am doing a PhD and moved to the Netherlands. But before I could settle, I had the opportunity to do my field work in Western Africa.

I am an easy going person, enjoying good company, great music and chocolate. And food. Easy like this :) I like to hear stories about traveling, share a good laugh and a good coffee or beer or wine or all.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I try to host if I have space, time and my roommies agree. Trying to answer all requests (sometimes difficult to keep it on time) and meet up with surfers/travelers eventually :) If I travel, love couchsurfing!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

For first time I surfed in Sweden with my 2 German-Austrian friends :) then I kept surfing in Scandinavia and became a host too. Have met locals and travelers while traveling aswell.

Interests

I like to share experiences, share moments and learn... learn and exchange :) Traveling, this is my interest too!
Love sports, specially those you can be outdoors. I had a period which I enjoyed climbing, slacklining and learnt acroyoga, but went to travel and stopped it.

In the past years, I have played rugby 7s but now I am getting old and got too many injuries. So now I like to explore the yoga site, or maybe you have a suggestion on what to learn?

Teach, Learn, Share

CS is about sharing, so we will all teach and learn somehow.... mmm... I could share of course my language and culture . I would love to learn more languages and more cultures... and how to play the guitar! :) Erik plays the drums!
