About Me

I am a friendly, kind, outspoken, helpful, nutrition geek, outdoorsy person who loves learning new things.

Oh, and I recently started body building. So far, I've performed in one show as a figure competitor and hope to do many more shows in the future!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I traveled for four years after college and was very impressed with the many beautiful people that opened their door to me along the way. I want to give back and open my door to those who are traveling in my area. Plus, it would be cool to meet more positive people! :)

Interests

I am a natural born wanderer and get antsy if I go a few months without travel. However, when I visit a place, I like to stay a while so I can really explore the culture that makes it unique. Out of all the places I've lived in, Alaska has treated me the best; and, since I've been to the North Slope near the the Arctic Ocean and to Attu at the end of the Aleutian Islands, I can say that I've explored her from head to toe! I love my family (and our dogs), my friends, my plants, exploring, cooking, learning, dancing, socializing, doing artsy stuff ...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

1. Hiking the Grand Canyon from Rim to Rim and Watching a baby be born for the first time are both at the top of the most amazing things I've done.
2. Cruising Tracy Arm (Glacier Bay National Park, Alaska).
3. Seeing the Northern lights for the first time (Pacific ocean near Kodiak, Alaska).
