ABOUT ME

Hi, I am Miriam. After becoming a professional chef I studied nutrition and because that's not enough ;) I am currently working on my PhD degree.

Relaxed, spontaneous, easy going, kind, warm hearted, a good sense of humour, not too serious, sense of justice, honest, reliable, a good friend, loyal, open minded and down to earth - I think this describes me pretty good.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Just getting started 'professionally' on this site. During my student days in my dorm I was tutor for foreign students, helping them to get used to the new city, what to do, great things to see. It was such a blast getting to know so many different people from different cultures - I really miss that. So now, whenever I get the chance meeting travellers on their journey I try to make their stay very special more memorable because there is no such thing as feeling welcome in someone elses home.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Still a CS virgin...Update May 2012 - no CS virgin no more ;)
My experience so far couldn't have been better! Had the greatest vacation in Hawaii way beyond my expectations! I met so many interesting and great people. Highly recommendable. This way of travelling opens up your mind and spirit and offers you so many views to different people and opportunities. It widens the horizon of your way of thinking.

Interests

Since I am working my butt of I didn't have the time to do a lot of fun things the last few years. But since joy and happiness are the things that make life worth living I am beginning to bring more funstuff into my life.
Not long ago I started taking singing lessons - which I deeply enjoy - I enjoy the vibration my voice creates in my body.
Also I love to cook and to travel and meeting people from all over the world, hear their stories, share experiences and find out what we can learn from each other.
