ABOUT ME

Living in the sunny coastal city of Xiamen in southern China, teaching English and learning Mandarin. Last year I lived in Zhangjiajie, which was a smaller town surrounded by mountains but just as beautiful. Hope to travel a bit this year, surf some couches and find where I want to call home next year.

PHILOSOPHY

Never complain about being bored. Only boring people find themselves in this situation.

Travel in China on a budget and meet some fun people along the way. Then return the favour and host them in my city Xiamen.

Favourite Books- Das Ende ist mein Anfang (biography of journalist Tiziano Terzani), Dancer (about the life of Russian ballet dancer Nureyev), 1Q84 (and many others by Murakami)
Give me good mood music- jazz, reggae, disco, funk and soul, house, techno, hiphop. Recently on the playlist are Romare, Ibeyi and Christine and the Queens
